Kind&Co HP1

Type of steel and characteristics:

A newly developed quality standard due to specific use of trace elements with improved properties and a high economic effciency. HP1 is a hot-work tool steel with a high level of high-temperture strength and outstanding toughness properties. HP1 is only available as an ESR (Electro Slag Remelting)grade.

Applications:
To be used in case of with highest demands like die casing, extrusion industries and hot forming

Heat treatment:

Delivery Condition: Soft annealed, max 230HB
Nitriding possible : For die casting dies we recommand our nitriding program 99 without compound layer
Preheating before use: 100-400ºC depending on application
