Heat Treatment

Soft Annealing
820 to 840 °C
Cool slowly in furnace. Brinell hardness max. 110 HBS

Intermediate Annealing
600 to 630 °C

Quenching
800 to 830 °C
quenching in Oil

Carburizing
840 to 900 °C

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 840 to 900 °C followed by oil or air quenching. Hardness after quenching is 62 HRC

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 200 to 250 °C
