1.2235 Low Alloyed Cr-V Cold Working Tool Steel


Ningshing Special-Steel is the leading ditribution and stockist of DIN 1.2235 Cold Work Steel. Our large stock of DIN 1.2235 Cold Work Steel can meet your demand with immediate delivery. The stock involves different size range of hot rolled /forged rounds and flats, forged blocks. Delivery condiion in Annealed or Q+T.

DIN 1.2235 Cold Work Tool Steel is a Low alloyed Cr-V cold working tool steel. It is not corrosion resistant, it will rust unless protected.

Applications
Circular saws for timber, saws for non-ferrous. Machine saws, measuring tools, tools for wood working (axes, kinvesp, punches, guide rods, twist drills, reamers, ejector pins, dentist's drills).

Heat Treatment
Annealing
710 to 850 °C

Cool slowly in furnace. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 220.

Stress Relieving
To remove machining stresses should be carried out by heating to approx. 650 °C, holding for 1-2 hours at heat, followed by air cooling.

Hardening
810 to 840 °C
quenching in water/oil
hardness: 64-66 HRC


Tempering
tempering temperature 100°C: 64HRC

tempering temperature 200°C: 62HRC
tempering temperature 300°C: 57HRC
tempering temperature 400°C: 51HRC
tempering temperature 500°C: 44HRC
tempering temperature 600°C: 31HRC
