Characteristic
DIN / EN 18CrNiMo7-6 / 17CrNiMo6 / 1.6587 grade is a low-alloy case-hardened steel containing chromium and molybdenum and nickel as strengthening agents. The steel has good strength and toughness.
Applications
It's alloyed case hardening steel for heavy and high strained gear parts with high demands on toughness at core tensile strength of 1050 - 1350 N/mm², such as heavy forging parts of gear wheel, gear ring, gear case and differential mechanism
